What motivated 14 MMGY Global colleagues from around the world to join forces? It was the opportunity to help a local community, experience a different culture and forge new friendships – all in one incredible trip to Guatemala.
In partnership with Globe Aware, our inaugural Go Do Good program brought together volunteers from our offices in New York, Los Angeles, Kansas City and London. Led by locals in the town of Peten, they dispersed to family homes to lay down concrete floors – a critical step that can reduce infection and disease by 80%. In between other activities such as planting trees in the rainforest and spending time with local children, the team spent time exploring their surroundings. Enjoying a home-cooked lunch in a women’s center, walking with a midwife to learn about local herbs and hiking to the pyramids of Tikal National Park were just a few of the memorable moments along their journey together.
