MMGY Global Acquires D.K. Shifflet & Associates to Boost Consumer Insights & Strategic Planning

We are excited to announce that MMGY Global has acquired D.K. Shifflet & Associates (DKSA), a leading provider of syndicated research and insights for the travel and tourism industry. This acquisition creates an industry powerhouse that will offer its combined portfolio of clients deep insights, and innovative new products and services to guide their strategic marketing and planning efforts.

DKSA is the first acquisition by MMGY since Peninsula Capital Partners made a significant equity investment in the firm earlier this year. The enhanced research capability boasts the industry’s most expansive and comprehensive historical database focused on consumer trends, travel intentions, spend levels and patterns, visitor profiles and volumes, geography and brand attitudes, customer segmentation, planning processes and resources, and forecasting. Combined with the valuable data from MMGY’s annual Portrait of American Travelers® study and its travelhorizons™ quarterly report, the investment in D.K. Shifflet will significantly enhance MMGY’s ability to understand, measure, and predict the decisions, preferences, and behaviors of American travelers better than any other marketing organization in the country.
