3 Changes Casino Operators Need to Make to Attract Millennials
According to an interview between MMGY Global's EVP of Global Strategy, Chris Davidson, and TotallyGaming.com, casino operators need to make three key changes if they are to attract millennials not interested in gaming:
1. Casinos must design skill-based elements into gaming devices. After all, millennials grew up with video games.
2. Casino games and their gaming zones on the floor must evolve to be more social. Gaming needs to include social enjoyment, engagement and interaction.
3. Casinos must overcome the stigma that slot machines are games that only grandparents play in the casino. One way to combat this is by designing a series of spatial zones through the building that appeal to specific demographic or psychographic audiences. The feeling of being "with people like me" is important to millennials.
Davidson will discuss these ideas and more at this week's ICE Totally Gaming seminar at ExCeL London. To learn more about this topic, visit TotallyGaming.com's post titled Insight: Change games, environment and mindset to attract Millennials or connect with Chris Davidson at email@example.com
