Brands That Travel: Is Cuba Ready for American Travelers?

Monday, September 14, 2015 David Perez

When Cuba travel restrictions were eased earlier this year, opening up access to the beautiful country, America’s ears perked up.  There is a sense of urgency to visit Cuba from American travelers--half of all Americans desire to learn more about the history and culture of the country, while nearly half have a great interest in traveling to a destination that was previously inaccessible to Americans.

We decided to explore this topic further as a part of our Brands That Travel video series. In this episode of Brands That Travel, I had the opportunity to sit down with Beth Harpaz, Travel Editor at the Associated Press, as well as Katie Briscoe and Chris Davidson of MMGY Global, to discuss the challenges, opportunities and future Cuba tourism.

In this episode, we hope that you gain insight on the top 3 things you need to know before traveling to Cuba, the challenges that Cuba and its competitors face today, and the types of travelers who are interested in vacationing in Cuba. Be sure to tweet us your comments and questions using #BrandsThatTravel.
